/age = 10 minutes in map with w/rt. you can practically fall asleep with this build (happened and i died lol). i really think that w/me can be much faster than 9 minutes and more interesting but personally i dont have nf so ... ;(

hmm, really? look at my mini-map, chat log and radar, recognize the statue? can the w/me clear the smites and the chaos plains in the same run, solo?

my build is based of the old witte was smite solo w/rt build, but after a lot of trial and error i changed some stuff around (5 skills i believe) and i have no problem doing the regular smite run AND then clearing the chaos plains, i never die in chaos plains, only thing that rarely kills me is rubber-banding at ataxes and its easy to avoid that 99% of the time.

clearing chaos planes is't that big deal, you can do it with the original VwK build - it's only matter of timing (ignorance is your friend)

take a leuthenants helm and a -3/hexed shield, and you will have 0-1 damage from mindblades, and nearly no interrupts...
It takes me ~1,5 hours, to clear the smites and the chaos planes, and I get 4-9 ecto /run (at the 9 ecto run, the smites dropped 3 for me - very kind of them)
you can kill some death treashers, and dead collectors too, if you are lucky

i never said it was a big deal, but apparently some ppl think it is because MOST ppl tell me im full of BS when i tell them i have no probs doing this, heard this from 4 people in my alliance chat a couple of days ago and i hear it all the time... im sure i cant be the only 1, but most ppl that are running w/rt dont get this far, and many swear up and down that this isnt possible.
anyway the point im trying to make is that w/rt can do this safely and w/me cant, and thats what this thread is about right? comparing both builds.
and btw it takes me about 50-60 mins max, i agree with what you said about timing being the biggest factor,
i average around the same 4-9ecto, i have had a 12 ecto run though before, and yes you can kill some stuff in bone pits and most of twin serpent mountains too, but serpent mountains isnt worth it, and bone pits is harder, i havent found a consistent safe way to clear bone pits yet, but chaos plains is barely harder than just the smites if ur doing it right.

Sorry - I didn't mean to offend you - what I meant to say is, that you are right, and the W/Rt can clear the chaos planes without any major problem.
I run almost the original build with signet of stamina and dolyak sig, and as I said it takes me ~1,5 hours (and it is still better ecto/hour drop rate than just doing smite runs) - but with your build, you can get even more ecto/hour (and more, and better gold items)
